Hello Friends…Welcome!!
Today I am sharing with you a couple more of the card samples that I made for the Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Creativation 2018 Booth. These cards were created with the new Cocktails Blueprint (CMS335) and were some of my favorite cards…hmm…what does that say about me? LOL!
But seriously, these stamps are AWESOME, so fun to color and when I added the Clear Rock Candy Dry Glitter to them…
OMG!… It made me really thirsty just creating them!
Let’s get started!
For the Margarita card…
I started by stamping the Margarita with Black Soot Archival Ink onto a piece of watercolor paper and then embossed it with Clear Embossing Powder. I then watercolored it with a variety of Distress Inks and Oxides (Candied Apple, Worn Lipstick, Lucky Clover Oxide, Twisted Citron Oxide) Fussy cut around it, then with some Crystal Effects, I edged the rim and bottom stem of the glass and sprinkled it with some Clear Rock Candy Dry Glitter. This was then set aside to dry and I began creating the backgrounds.
I stamped the Margarita again onto a piece of watercolor cardstock, embossed it and blended a bit of Worn Lipstick Distress Ink and a bit of Twisted Citron with a blending tool. I added some drips of water and smooshed it into a bit of the inks as well, to give the background some “drips” of margarita. The paper was then run through my Vagabond and cut with one of the circles from the Sizzix Tim Holtz Stitched Circle Die Set. I cut a plain circle to mat this circle onto from a circle die and blended a bit of Candy Apple Distress Ink and dripped some water onto it, then dried it with my heat tool.
Then I created the background… I sprayed a piece of watercolor paper with some Candy Apple and bit of Twisted Citron Distress Sprays then dried it with my heat tool. I then blended some Worn Lipstick Distress Ink around and sprayed the paper with some water and dried that. Then with a palette knife I added some Translucent Embossing Paste through the Stampers Anonymous Splatter Layering Stencil (THS009) and sprinkled it with some Clear Rock Candy Dry Glitter.
The fussy cut Margarita was adhered with pop dots onto the stitched circle margarita and all the layers were added to a piece of watercolor cardstock that had been blended with some Twisted Citron Distress Ink. I added one of the Metallic Sticker Quotations on and it was finished.
Next, the Bloody Mary…
I stamped the Bloody Mary onto a piece of watercolor cardstock with Black Soot Archival Ink and embossed it with some Clear Embossing Powder. I watercolored it with a variety of Distress Inks (Aged Mahogany, Candy Apple, Crushed Olive, Forest Moss, Peeled Paint, Lucky Clover) and fussy cut around it. I added a little Glossy Accents onto the glass, ice cubes and around the rim and sprinkled it with Clear Rock Candy Dry Glitter and set it aside to dry.
I stamped the Bloody Mary again with Black Soot Archival Ink onto a piece of watercolor cardstock, stamped the top edge of the paper with a trim from the Ornate Trims (CMS326) and embossed them with clear embossing powder. I blended some Forest Moss and Crushed Olive around, added some drips of water and through the Splatter Layering Stencil added some Translucent Embossing Paste at the bottom and sprinkled it with the glitter.
The background was created by blending Crushed Olive and Forest Moss and by adding blended Forest Moss through the new Dotted Layering Stencil (THS100) It was also sprayed with some water and drips, dabbed up with a towel and dried with a heat tool. Some Translucent Embossing Paste was added through the Splatter Layering Stencil and sprinkled with Clear Rock Candy.
All the layers were adhered together in the same way as the Margarita and layered onto a piece of dark red cardstock from the Paper Stash Classic Craft pad. The phrase from the Metallic Sticker Quotations and was added to the front of the card. YUM…I’m thirsty!
Thank you so much for joining me today and be sure to stop back!
Creatively Yours,
Stacy
