Hello friends! I am back today to celebrate creativity and inspiration with the 20th Anniversary of a creative friends’ blog…Happy 20th Anniversary to Jenn Shurkus the Creative Chick! She has invited many of her creative friends to participate in an Inspiration Party to celebrate this milestone and she is hosting it over on her blog today!

As a creative, finding inspiration is HUGE and taking that gift and inspiring others, just keeps the creativity moving forward, in turn, making a more beautiful world. In celebration of Jenn and her blog, I made a card inspired by Jenn’s creativity, her love of turquoise & sparkles and of course..her kitties!
Those are all WICKED good things, don’t you think… especially naughty kitties and their wonderful shenanigans!

This kitty is included in the Tim Holtz Stamp Set entitled Snarky Cat Halloween CMS407. I used a combination of Distress Spray Stains (Pumice Stone and Black Soot) for the moon background. Then I used the Moon Mask Stencil over the stamped images and added some sparkle with Mica Spray Stains. (Shiny Bauble and Sugary Gumdrop)

So, let’s get to it…to start, I used my stamp platform to stamp the cat, her broom and hat, then colored it in using Distress Watercolor Pencils and blended them in using a wet paint brush, then I dried the watercolors and restamped the images using the platform to give the stamped images some crispness.
After the images were stamped and colored, I removed the background paper from the platform and placed the largest moon stencil/mask over the images. I sprayed the background using the technique found HERE. I removed the stencil then dried the background using my heat tool. The mica sprays were added after the paper was dry.
To finish the moon, I added some light sketchy scribbles around the moon then using my Black Soot Watercolor Pencil, blended a little bit of those scribbles in using a water brush.
Next, I stamped the phrase on a piece of scrap paper and cut it into a banner shape then adhered it in place with a small piece of black torn tulle.
I cut out shiny stars using idea-ology Kraft Stock Metallic paper and the Falling Stars Background Die. A few stars were adhered to the background randomly then I stitched the phrase in place using my sewing machine. I continued with a stitched border around the background, then I matted the background to a piece of cardstock, and onto a card base…with that, my card was complete!

You can find Jenn’s blog post and cards that she created HERE that I was inspired by…she used the moon technique that I had shared many moons ago! I appreciate her sharing it on her blog and was so happy she was inspired…I didn’t know that she had!
Sharing inspiration is truly the way to happiness.

Thank you Jenn for the invite to create, your kindness and the creativity that you share with all of us! Congratulations on 20 years and cheers to many many more!
