How AWESOME was it to watch Tim, Mario, Paula, and Richele, live on the showroom floor of CREATIVATION through Facebook Live! If you haven’t watched the videos, check them out HERE! I was glued to my iPad ALL weekend. I hope that you enjoy this creation as much as I loved making it.. please feel free to message me with any questions! Also, if you haven’t checked out the new products, be sure to stop by timholtz.com they’re FANTASTIC…FYI, the release has been spread out through the first few months of this year so I’m beginning with products releasing in January. These sets are hitting shelves NOW!

I am making this post the first one in a series of posts that I will be showing some of the samples that I created for the Tim Holtz Sizzix and Stampers Anonymous Booths…be sure to check back!

Today I will be sharing with you a project I made for the Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Booth. This vignette was created on one of the New Mini Etcetera Tags. These tags are approximately a 1/4in. thick and are made with a very hard thickboard and come in a package of 4 with the reinforcement circles. They measure 4.5″x8″. They can be painted, inked and altered in many different ways. I also used the New Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Botanical & Batik Background Stamp Set CMS327, Ornate Trimmings CMS326 and Entomology CMS328 all of these sets and the tags are shipping NOW so be sure to head over to your favorite shop and get them ordered!

Lets Begin!

I first began by cutting a piece of watercolor paper to the size of the Etcetera tag then sprayed it with some water and added a bit of Spun Sugar Distress Stain to it, then dried it with my heat tool.

I then stamped the Batik Background Stamp in a few areas on the tag with Pumice Stone Distress Ink. The stamp was stamped without a block so that I could just get a few parts and pieces of the Batik and not a full stamp.

With a Distress Watercolor Brush I colored in some of the pattern with a bit of Evergreen Bough Distress Ink and then dried it with my heat tool. I punched a hole in the tag and added one of the Ornate Trimmings to the bottom with more of the Pumice Stone Distress Ink and then with my sewing machine and cream thread, stitched around the edge. I also blended some Pumice Stone ink around the edges of the tag.

Next, I created the tag that is behind the photo. I painted the Entomology background stamp with Brushed Pewter Distress Paint, stamped it onto the tag and then dried it with my heat tool. (Be sure to clean your stamp with water and remove the paint right after you are done stamping 😊) I then blended a bit of Evergreen Bough, Cracked Pistachio, Worn Lipstick, Tattered Rose and Pumice Stone Distress Ink onto the tag. Sprayed it with water, and blotted it with a towel until it was to my liking. I then blended a bit of Walnut Stain around the edge of the tag.

I then created the paper for behind the photo to the right…I took a tag and blended Evergreen Bough Distress Ink through the new Dotted Layering Stencil, then added some of the font background from the Entomology Stamp set with Watering Can Archival Ink. I then lifted off the Stencil and blended the Evergreen Bough ink around the tag. Sprayed with a little water and dried it with my heat tool. I only used a small portion of the tag behind the Found Relative photo.

To finish it off I painted the the edges of a quote chip with Picket Fence Distress Paint and added a bit of Spun Sugar Distress Stain. I painted one of the new Ideaology Story Sticks (lucky) and Photo Corner with Picket Fence paint and then rubbed off a little to give it a worn look. On the photo corner, I added a bit of Mushroom Alcohol Ink as well. The round reinforcement for the tag was painted with some Picket Fence Distress Paint as well and then sanded. After it was sanded I stamped the Batik Background stamp onto it with Watering Can Archival ink.

A bit of cotton string was tied around the story stick. Then I stamped a postage stamp in the corner of the paper and colored it. A portion of the Entomology Font was also stamped onto the top of the photo with Watering Can Archival ink. I also added a piece of vintage lace and an old button. The phrases above the girls was from the Ideaology Sticker Clippings, they were inked with a bit of Walnut Stain Distress Ink to grunge them up a bit and placed. To adhere the watercolor paper to the Etcetera tag I used Ranger Multi Medium Matte. Now on to the rest of the blogs…

I did order the background stamp and actually got it in a couple of days ago, but I didn’t know what I was going to do with it. Now, at least I have an idea of how incredible those background stamps are. I figured you must have used the new collage paper for the background when I first looked at your project. The more floral one is busy looking in photos when you can’t see it up close, but I love how you colored it to bring some of the greenery to the fore. Great project. Thank you for the inspiration.
