Hello friends…
I hope this post is finding you well and enjoying the cooler fall weather and getting excited for all that is Halloween. I’ve been busy behind the scenes again, normally making special projects for Tim, but this time, I’ve been making a Halloween class kit, a kit that many of you have been asking for.
“Spellbound” combines my love of witchy Halloween things with a vintage and stitchy twist. If you know me, then you know I have a love for shabby, sewn and vintage details and this kit is the epitome of that. I drew inspiration from all my completed projects from this years Tim Holtz releases, and couldn’t resist making a kit that included some of the new Halloween fabrics.

The kit includes 8 pre-cut fabric pieces from the NEW Tim Holtz Eclectic Elements fabric line, curated vintage buttons and lace, and lots of idea-ology goodies. Plus, a spooky bottle brush tree decorated by you to match the quilted background using idea-ology Baubles, Pre-dyed Distress Mica Flakes and Rock Candy Glitter which are all included in the kit.
I will share how to create the stitched and shabby quilted background and how to combine it with techniques using Tim Holtz Distress Products, idea-ology, and, of course, vintage embellishments from my personal collection of found goodies.
Please note, a BASIC knowledge of sewing and a sewing machine is a requirement for this kit. If you can sew a messy and crooked line with a sewing machine, this is the class kit for you! The messier the better for this project and a true, “dip your toe” into creating with fabric project.
The project is created on an idea-ology Large Vignette Tray that measures 6″x12″ and features a small Vignette Box that displays a wonderfully witchy and distressed collection of handmade & idea-ology goodies on the front.
Distressing idea-ology by using Tim Holtz products and techniques is one of my favorite things to do.. in the end, you will not be able to tell the real vintage things from the new.
The techniques that you learn are ones that will be useful for many future projects.

To complete the kit, use supplies included, and combine with basic consumable supplies that you already own. This kit is VERY limited in quantity and contains pre-stamped, pre-cut and handmade supplies.
When finished the project can be hung on the wall, be propped standing in a photo stand, or put on display on a mantle, shelf, or for a centerpiece on a Halloween themed table. When complete, you will have a new “heirloom” to be treasured by you and your family for years to come.

So, here’s what’s included in the kit…my largest and most detailed one yet! ๐
A Large (6″x12″) Vignette Tray, Small Vignette Box (2.75″x4″), 8 different patterned pieces of Tim Holtz Eclectic Elements Fabrics (you will have scraps leftover for future projects), Black Vintage Tule, Pre-cut Warm And Natural Quilt Batting, Curated Vintage Buttons and Lace, an idea-ology spider, skull, bones, vials, paper flowers, key, Mummy Cloth, Small Book pre-cut pieces with vintage paper for the pages and die-cut labels, a Large Woodland Bottlebrush Tree, Baubles, hand-dyed Mica Flakes and Rock Candy Glitter, Floral Moss, Spanish Moss, vintage nails, string, thread and more…
The kit includes several pages of high-quality color step-out photos and detailed written instructions listing all the specific steps to complete the kit…plus tips, tricks and techniques to help you along the way and to carry over into your future projects. It’s just like having me teaching you in a class room, except you get to make in your pj’s, in the comfort of your own home, anytime that you want! ๐ plus, if you have ANY questions, you can email me and I will get back to you in a snap!
The instructions include a detailed listing of consumable supplies that I used, and those needed to complete the kit (i.e.- Distress Ink, Distress Supplies, adhesives, etc.) The listing of supplies includes specific colors, but is meant only for reference…you can create the kit to your own preference with the supplies that you already have on hand, and to your own unique style.

The cost of the kit is $115 plus $15 for shipping. The kit will be mailed to you through USPS Priority Mail, which includes insurance. You will receive your kit within 1-3 days after I ship them out. At this time, I am only shipping within the U.S., or, I can check into your individual country and check on the price. Payment for the kit can be paid through PayPal. I simply need you email, mailing address and zip code to send the invoice, then you can pay with a debit or credit card. Once the invoice is sent, it needs to be paid within 24 hours of receiving it. I will begin shipping out the kits on or before Monday, October 30, 2023.
It’s as easy as that!
