Hello all and Welcome!
UPDATE number 3: SOLD OUT!!! I am officially sold out of my kits! To those that purchased one, thank you they will be ready to ship Mid August. I am overjoyed by the response to it and will be creating different kits in the future. Thank you all again for your continued support of me, my blog posts and now my kits. It makes my heart happy to know that you are enjoying my makes and finding inspiration from them….again, a HUGE THANK YOU!! – Stacy
Merry Christmas in July!!!
Today I have a little something new for you, but first a little note…
As some of you know, and if you’ve followed my blog and read my “a bit about me” section, then you know that I used to teach stamp and scrap classes on a regular basis at a couple local stamp & scrapbook stores and out of my home. The stores that I taught in have long since closed and I started this blog in order to get back to teaching as I have missed that part of my life. Creating makes me happy but sharing it with others truly brings my JOY! I love sharing my tutorials and my love for all things Tim Holtz and truly feel that his products and inspiration completely speak to me. I am so inspired by him, his techniques, and his team of creative people and have been very blessed to have been given the opportunity to create for him and be a part of his team of creatives… it’s truly a dream come true!!!
It’s hard to believe, but I’ve been doing this blog for almost 2 years now…not sure how that happened as it feels like I only just started it, but as of today, I’ve shared over 80 tutorials and have well over 650 followers!!!! WOWZA!! I never could have imagined what this blog would open up to me. I sit in my home studio in Ohio, but through my blog, travel the world and have made lasting friendships that I cherish and hope to have for the rest of my life. I have received so much more than I was ever expecting…just by doing what I love. ♥️
So, what is this little chat leading up to?
Well, I’ve decided to start offering some class kits that contain “a tattered class kit to go”. These kits will be like my tutorials but with a more in-depth approach. I hope to teach more of the techniques that I love, plus, they will contain the parts needed to create it.
To complete the kit, use the supplies included in the kit then combine it with basic supplies that you already own. The kits will be very limited quantity and will contain pre-stamped, pre-cut and handmade supplies plus include the in-depth instructions with high quality photos. This is no way will affect how I post tutorials in the future on my blog. I still plan on providing those. It’s just another way for me to teach and create with you. You will not be disappointed!
So, without further ado…here is my first kit!
I’ve gone with a Christmas in July theme by using a mini Etcetera tag and an idea-ology Santa. This project measures 4.5″ x 8″…when it’s finished it can hang on a wall or be propped standing in a photo stand. It also would make a wonderful Christmas gift and since it’s July, there’s still plenty of time to complete it before the holidays!
Here’s what is included in the kit…
A Mini Etcetera Tag and Etcetera Trim pieces, all the Sizzix paper pieces cut from watercolor paper that are needed to complete the kit. Additional papers that have been hand stamped and embossed with the specific stamps that I used to add the details to the kit. (the front Etcetera trim stamped and embossed with the “special delivery” and postage markings, the globe with the distressed map details) An idea-ology Santa, Reindeer, Coin (as this is my second batch of kits, some kits may contain a star charm instead of the coin), Wood Slice, Woodland Tree, Mummy Cloth, Wood Cubes for presents, Hand Dyed Red Ribbon, Vintage Sequins and Adhesive Backed Pearls.
PLUS, 7 full pages of color step-out photos and 4 pages of written instructions listing all the specific steps to complete the kit. The instructions include a detailed listing of supplies I used, and those needed from your own stash to complete it (ie.- paint, distress ink, distress supplies, adhesives, stamp sets, etc.).The listing of supplies includes the specific colors and details of the supplies used, but it is meant only for reference…you can create the kit to your own preference with the supplies that you already have on hand.
The cost of the kit is $50. which includes the shipping and handling fee. The kit will be mailed to you through USPS Priority Mail. (At this time I am only shipping within the US) Payment for the kit can be paid through PayPal. If you don’t have a PayPal account, signup is easy and FREE, no fees are charged to you for using it. Paying through PayPal makes things safe for you and me. I simply need your email, mailing address and zip code to send you an invoice, then you will be able to pay with a debit or credit card. Once the invoice is sent, it needs to be paid within 24 hours of receiving it and then I will send out the kit ASAP! (p.s.-the new batch of kits will be available and shipped out in mid August)
It’s as easy as that!
If you are interested in a kit, simply email me with all of your information (email, and address and zip code) at tatterednestdesigns@gmail.com and I will get the PayPal invoice sent.
Please feel free to email me with any questions…
and most of all, thank you so much for your creative support of me and my tutorials. ♥️
Creatively yours,
Stacy

Missed out on ordering, but love it. You are so inspiring, thank you. Maybe next time!
Seriously, this is such an incredible piece! I am not surprised that the kits sold out so quickly, and I am overjoyed for you Stacy! Sad that I missed out, but will definitely keep my eyes peeled for future kits to go live! I wish you all the success you deserve, you are an amazing talented artist and I am so glad that we have connected! I look forward to the day we can meet in person! xx congratulations
Would this be a project for a novice?
Hi Susan! I’d say that you would need a little bit of experience with mixed media. I explain the steps out really well, but knowing how to use the Distress Inks and other supplies would be helpful. 😊
Oh I certainly hope this kit will be available again…I love it and was just too slow at opening my email this week! I wouldn’t have hesitated ordering it! So glad you are making kits now and can’t wait to get them–I always absolutely love your projects!
If you find that you can make a few more kits I would love to order one please! Diana
I’m dying that I didn’t see this earlier. Are you going to put together additional kits? Please say you will ❤
