Hello friends! Welcome back to the blog! I am here today with a short tutorial for some small clipboard tags that I made for the recent release of the Tim Holtz Sizzix Vault series. I combined two of my favorite sets from the release which included Noteworthy and Floristry.
Aren’t they the cutest! I just love having this option to make tiny clipboards that look like REAL tiny clipboards! They would be adorable tied onto a gift or treat bag.

I started by making the tiny clipboards. To do this, I cut two backboards for each board. These were then glued together using Collage Medium. I also cut the 2 parts of the clips from both the Kraft paper and some metallic silver paper. The silver paper was sanded a bit using a sanding disk to give the metallic-ness some age.

After the clipboard bases were adhered together, I adhered the clip base piece and rubbed each of the clipboards with Walnut Stain distress ink using a blending tool. Once each of the boards were rubbed with ink, I spritzed them with some drips of water, then using a heat tool, dried the water droplets. Before the droplets of water were mostly dry, I picked up the rest of the water droplets using a cotton towel. This gives the clipboard bases a vintage look with water staining, as a true vintage clipboard would have.

I adhered the clip pieces together using collage medium, then rubbed each of the clip pieces with Walnut Stain Distress Crayon.

I scribbled a little crayon onto the clip pieces, then rubbed it into each to create some grunge. I adhered the top clip piece onto the clipboard using a piece of foam tab to give the clip some depth and an area where I could attach some items under the clip!

I cut flowers from some inky scrap papers from my stash, then adhered them together to create some variety in the flowers.

I stamped some vintage typing paper using a stamp set (school desk cms057) that had typewritten letters, tore them and wrinkled them up to look vintage, then adhered them together onto the clipboard.

I cut some plain paper using the baseboard of the clipboard. These were then placed behind the clipboard. I used some pieces of cotton string to tie the clipboard together and create the tag look. I adhered numbers to the tags from the idea-ology Clippings Sticker Pack.
With that, my tags were complete!

These are so cute!
These are adorable Stacy! When you were talking about cutting the bases for the backboard for the clipboards, I’m curious to know what you used to cut them out of? They look like Kraft but I’m not certain.
Thank you for sharing your tutorial🤗
Simply beautiful 💕
Thank you, I was waiting for these instructions! Do you have any demos of how you got the beautiful scrap paper you used for the flowers?
