The Blue Bird of Happiness..a class kit to go

Who else is excited for spring and summer weather and all that goes with it? I can’t wait! In anticipation of it, I decided to make a spring kit which was made to celebrate those upcoming days.

I have been itching to make a blue bird with the new Tim Holtz Sizzix Bird & Egg thinlet set…and created this kit to focus on Tim Holtz Sizzix, Stampers Anonymous and my love of vintage. If you know me then you know how much of a technique geek I am…throw in some vintage goodies, messy stitches and a bird and you have, what I consider, the perfect project.

My kits are like my tutorials, but with a more in-depth approach. They teach techniques that I love and include detailed instructions, photos and most of the supplies needed to create it. Techniques explained in this kit include sewing on mixed media projects with a sewing machine and adding tattered texture.

The Blue Bird of Happiness Kit is a spring or summer themed project that is created using a Large idea-ology Framed Panel and a Stampers Anonymous #8 Etcetera Hardboard Tag. I have combined it with several pieces of vintage lace, buttons, fabric and pieces from my own collection of vintage ephemera. You will be watercoloring the stamped images, sewing on paper and creating unique embellishments with the pieces that I’ve provided for you in the kit.

To complete the kit, use the supplies included, then combine it with the basic supplies that you already own. This kit is VERY limited in quantity and contains pre-stamped, pre-cut and handmade supplies PLUS, it includes the in-depth instructions with high quality photos.

You will not be disappointed!

The project measures 6.5″x9″ …when it’s finished it can hung on a wall, be propped standing in a photo stand or put on display on a mantle, shelf or centerpiece display.

Here’s what’s included in the kit…

An idea-ology Large Framed Panel, 2- pre-stamped and pre-embossed Mixed Media Papers and embellishments, 2- #8 Mixed Media Tags, 1- #8 Stampers Anonymous Etcetera Hardboard Tag, Tim Holtz Patterned Paper, pre-cut Bird pieces, Cheesecloth, Quilt Batting, Vintage Lace, a collection of Vintage Buttons, Vintage Nail, Denim Pocket, Floral Moss, a Stick, tiny twigs and more…

The kit also includes several pages of color step-out photos and written instructions listing all the specific steps to complete the kit…plus tips, tricks and techniques to help you along the way, and that can carry over into your own makes. The instructions include a detailed listing of supplies I used, and those needed from your own stash to complete it (i.e. – paint, distress ink, distress supplies, adhesives, etc.) The listing of supplies includes the specific colors, but it is meant only for reference …you can create with the kit to your own preference with the supplies you already have on hand and to your own unique style. Please note that I have used a sewing machine to complete this project. This is not needed but may be preferred, tips and tricks for stitching on paper are included in the instructions.

The cost of the kit is $90 which includes shipping. The kit will be mailed to you through USPS Priority Mail, so you’ll have it in 1-3 days after I ship it out. (at this time, I am only shipping within the U.S., or I can check into your individual country and check on the price for you) Payment for the kit can be paid through PayPal. If you don’t have a PayPal account, sign up is FREE, no fees are charged to you for using it. Paying through PayPal makes things safer for both you and me. I simply need your email (associated with your PayPal account, if you have one), mailing address and zip code to send the invoice, then you pay with a debit or credit card. Once the invoice is sent, it needs to be paid within 24 hours of receiving it. I will begin shipping out the kits on Friday, April 22, 2022.
