Hello All!
It’s me again with another mini tutorial…I hope you are all doing well! I’ve been busy working on some super secret Christmas projects but took a tiny break today to play with a pumpkin alcohol resist ink sample that I created and shared over on my instagram page a couple weeks ago. The pumpkins were stamped and lifted with Alcohol Lift Ink from Yupo paper that had been covered in a few colors of Alcohol Ink.
Here is my instagram post and photo of them…
If you haven’t seen how to create these backgrounds with the new Tim Holtz Alcohol Ink and lift images with Alcohol Lift Ink… CLICK HERE …Tim Holtz did a great Youtube video and explains everything about it…I can’t wait to play more with it!
But, I’ve been mulling around a couple ideas on how to use the pumpkin resist pieces that I created and came up with these super easy treat bag tags.
I used a bunch of leftover pieces of stamped papers from last year and cut and inked and sprayed them with Distress Inks and sprays to match my resist ink pieces.
Then I trimmed them down and sewed them onto the tags that were cut from my background pieces. Behind the pumpkins you’ll notice some spooky fabric that I picked up at the dollar store. It makes a really cool accent on halloween projects!
Then I punched a hole in the top and used a bit of black jute to create a swing tag.
Here are a couple more I created with a purple and green alcohol ink background…the pumpkins even worked on that spooky color combo!
I can’t wait to use these for some treat bags this upcoming Halloween!
Now I’m off to create a bit of Christmas fun…
Thank you so much for stopping by and have a GREAT day!
Creatively Yours,
Stacy

These are great Rox. Don’t you love when you can find things at the dollar store that work with our projects? That just means more money for the important things, like Tim’s new Halloween release. Lol 😍😍

Stacy, I want to trick or treat at your house! These are totally awesome, the AI colors are so perfect for Halloween and the way you’ve used the lift ink for the pumpkin images is perfectly paired! Layered and embellished equals a spooktacular halloween treat (no candy needed) xx
